FC Tippecanoe FireHawks Win the Party on the Pitch Tournament
The Tipp FireHawks breezed through the first 3 games of the tournament with a combined score of 30 - 1. However, once the championship game came it was all business as we faced Metro FC Rapids. The Rapids scored a goal early in the first half to set the tone of the championship game. The FireHawks later counted with AJ scoring a head ball shot off a corner kick from Keaton. AJ later scored his second goal from the left side weaving through the defense. The FireHawks led 2-1 at halftime.
In the second half, Metro Rapids scored the equalizer off a corner kick. However Jackson scored the winning goal just minutes later off an assist from Andrew. The final 15 minutes of the game was a physical battle with great defense played from both teams.
It was a great season opening tournament for the team as we now are prepared for the battles that await us in the Buckeye Premier league.
