to our girls for a hard-fought and well-played
semi-final win at Millburn Eclipse! Everyone played
their best and gave all they had to reach our division's
final this coming Saturday, 6/19!!!

girls scored early and often to secure their
5th win and finish the 1st half of the season
with a 5-0-0 record. L. Howard had her first
of the season (3') and K. Barat added another
to her collection 5' later, followed by 2 M.
Dunn goals in 10'. In the second half, our GK
E. Baumley
had
her
first CF appearance and her first goal when she
re-directed an A. Vassiliadis shot for a 5-0
lead. Another defender, A. Bocage had her first
of the season to make it 6-0 before the Ice Breakers
scored a goal to break the shut-out in the last
seconds of the game! |
SATURDAY
4/17 - WILDCATS
@ Westfield Crystal Palace: 4 - 0 (0-0)

A
relatively poor first half followed by some
decent play in the second half changed a 0-0
tie to a comfortable 4-0 win at the end. K.
Barat with 2 goals, M. Dunn with her first
of the season and C. Canestri completed the
scoring for the day while E. Baumley and her
defense added another shut-out for the season.

@ Westfield Blackburn Rovers: 5 - 0 (2-0) |

relatively easy win, was diminished by the serious
injury
to our J. Khater and the hopefully less serious
on to N. Sobon. The girls controlled the match
and led at HT with two goals from K. Barat. In
the second half they added 3 more, 1 with K.
Barat -to complete her hat-trick- and 1 each
by C. Canestri and A.
Vassiliadis, for a 5-0 win. |

3/28 - WILDCATS
@ Millburn Galaxy: 6 - 0 (4-0)

Playing
with only 11 players and welcoming our new
addition M. Dunn (who had an assist in her
1st game!), the Wildcats scored a very early
goal with K. Barat
(1')
off a
corner
kick from C. Canestri, and never looked back,
winning by a score
of
6-0. All
our girls contributed and almost everyone got
to play different positions. K.B. had one more
goal and C.C. added 2 goals, and J. Khater
1 goal and 1 assist, A. Vassiliadis had a goal,
and A. Bocage had an assist (Go Defense! :-)...

@ Cougar United Strikers: 5 - 1 (1-1) |
After
a slow start and going down 0-1, the Wildcats "woke
up" and controlled most of the game tying the score
in the first half with N. Sobon's first goal for
the team and adding 4 more in the second half
(2 by K. Barat, 1 by J. Khater and 1 by D. Kelly)
for a 5-1 win. |
