Spring 2012 Season's Field Prep Day -- Volunteer Opportunity

This season's field prep day will be held at the SGS School fields on Saturday, March 3rd, starting at 9:00 am.

We will plan for rain\snow dates of Sunday March 4, and Saturday March 10.  IF we need to make weather related postponements, we will post them to the web site by 8:00 AM of that morning.

We are looking for as many people as possible to come out and help us set up for the fields.  This is a great opportunity to help the club as this is an opportunity to earn credit towards your Work Bond.

We will meet at the shed at 9:00am and move on from there to begin lining the fields and doing the other work necessary to get the fields ready for opening day.

Spring 2012 On-line Registration Now Available

On-line registration for the Spring 2012 season is now open. We encourage you to use this option for registering.  You have the option of paying fees by credit card, getting immediate confirmation of your child's registration for those paying by credit card, having the ability to bundle registrations for several children in your family, and avoid entering the same information on several forms.  If you registered online for the previous Fall season, your information will already be stored in the system, and you need only update it with any changes.  Payment by check is also available for on-line registrations, but your child is not registered until we receive payment.

If you prefer to use the paper registration process, print out and return registration forms and fees by mail (to the address on the form).  The Spring 2012 season forms are available on our forms page.

ALSO, please consider volunteering as a coach or assistant coach.   We need more coaches and assistants, and note that there are no qualifications and (pre)requirements for these positions, and, coaching satisfies the requirement for work bond refund.

After the registration period ends, your child will be assigned to a team.  The coach for that team will contact you with practice location, date, and time information.  For information on the Nippers program, click the Teams link, then the Nippers link.  For all other divisions, game times (when they are made available) will be posted under the Schedule link.

Registration Schedule
Nippers: $15
Pee Wees/Jnrs 1st child: $75
Pee Wees/Jnrs 2nd child: $40
Pee Wees/Jnrs 3rd and more: $35 each

For all Pee Wee and Junior division registrations after December 31, 2011, a late fee of $100 applies.  This fee does not apply to Nippers' or Seniors' registrations.  The Nippers late fee remains at $5, and there is no late fee for Seniors. This fee is fully refundable with 6 hours of volunteer work (information desk, concession stand, etc., or taking on a role as a Coach, Assistant Coach, Trophy Coordinator, or Board Member.

Lightning Policy

Coaches, Parents: See recommendations for Lightning safety from the National Lightning Safety Institute.
 

FTSC's Lightning Policy :
At any time, including during play, games will be cancelled in the event of audible thunder or visible lightning. An air-horn signal will be given, and everyone (players, parents, coaches, refs, etc.) should leave the fields immediately and return to their cars. Later games will be played only after there has been no evidence of lightning in the area for 30 minutes.
