The Franklin Township Soccer Club in Somerset County, New Jersey, offers both Non-Traveling and Travel leagues for boys and girls with Fall and Spring seasons. We offer Fall and Spring season Non-Traveling and Travel Soccer Leagues for Pre-K to High School aged boys and girls. Our Franklin Township (there are three others in NJ) is located in Somerset County, New Jersey. The club is an independent, non-profit organization run entirely by parent volunteers. The Non-Travel League receives no direct outside support with the entire program dependant on registration fees, concession stand sales, and our parent volunteers for its continued existence. Indirect support is graciously contributed to the club by the Franklin Township Board of Education in the form of facilities usage and field maintenance (SGS for game fields and other schools for practice sites) and by the Franklin Township Municipal Government in the form of space provided at the Public Library and Community/Senior Center for registration forms distribution and for field maintenance and facilities usage (Township parks for practice sites). Information regarding the Travel League can be found at http://www.franklinsoccer.com/Travel |

The goal of the Franklin Township Soccer Team is to provide our children with an opportunity to increase knowledge and appreciation of soccer through the development of skills, in an environment that encourages enjoyment over competitive success. All children in grades Pre-K-12 are eligible to play and township residency is not required. Team League games and Nippers clinics are held during the Fall and Spring seasons on Saturday mornings and early afternoons at Sampson G. Smith Middle School 1649 Amwell Road Somerset, NJ. The Fall season usually runs from early September to mid-November and the Spring season typically runs from late March or early April until mid-June. Typically, no games or clinics will be scheduled on major holidays. |

In case of cancellation, a notice will be posted on the home page at http://www.franklinsoccer.com/nontravel, and a message left on the club hot-line phone number (732-699-0002). Cancellations will also be posted at http://www.cancellations.com. Generally, at any time, including during play, games will be cancelled if there is lightning, heavy sustained rain , or standing water on the fields. Games may be played in light to moderate showers. A rule of thumb is games will only be cancelled if it rains so hard that the intermittent setting on your cars windshield wipers is not adequate. Once cancelled, games will not resume that day. Unless there are multiple cancellations, games will not be made up. |
